I remember when

I used to look forward to certain things.

Summer.
Halloween.
My Birthday.
Christmas.
New Years.

Now they're just days like any other and passed by me this year with no incident or even anything that I can fondly look back on. Well that's a lie, New York was good this year and hopefully tonight will be too.

Anyway back what I was saying.

They used to be the days I'd look forward to all year but somehow this year my traditions were deemed irrelevant to the powers that be and that kind of made me lose interest in things. Which in turn made me lose focus and not actually care about my life.

Now as trivial as that sounds it had a knock on effect because the crux of that problem is that my own choices, and decisions made independent of what other people want or think is right, are STILL not respected and I'm told what to do.

So seeing as we're about to enter a new year I'm going to leave all the bullshit of 2010 behind (October to December really, the other 9 months weren't all that bad) and dive head first into 2011.

Obligatory Resolutions/Goals post to follow

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

NEIGE

I appreciate the odd winter snow shower as much as the next person BUT let's face it...this small island of ours isn't quite prepared for it. If last year was an inkling into what to expect over the next few years then there's a lot to be done. In short some type of plan should be put in place for future reference because if places like Russia and New York can run effectively in heavy snow then SURELY we can learn how to keep the country running in these conditions!

OK I'm not sure where all that came from but it has to snow STOP snowing and there better be nitelinks running this weekend!

I'm in love with Chloe's perfume ads, especially the new one with Raquel Zimmerman (who's love for which I hold will be dedicated to another post some day soon).

but WHY are they so short....its such a tease!

Would you like a career with that?

I'm at that point in my life where I need to sit down and have a good long think about what to do next. I spent four years doing a three year course that I actually didn't like, and really has no benefit in the jobs market unless I got a first (which let's be honest now wasn't going to happen anyway!). So now I've to get a masters and specialise in some area and to carve a career out of it. I'm thinking something in Marketing but apparently its not all its cracked up to be- as attractive as Don Draper and co make it look.

But at that I'm not going back to college until next year so I'm stuck looking for a job and that's not what my head needs right now. I HATE rejection, especially for things that I want. I'm sure most people apply for a job and get that rejection letter or phone call and think nothing of it but I take it to heart for some reason. It only adds to my insecurity about work and employment and myself for that matter. I'd love to apply for a job that I want and ACTUALLY get it, and do well at it and climb the ladder you know. Actually have something to show for all my 'hard work'. But then on the flip side when I get those letters/phone calls I see it as their loss because they lost out on a competent worker. So I guess its hit and miss until I land my dream job (which by the way I STILL haven't figured out).

or I could be like this guy and make a quick buck with my 'management skills'

Nepotism by Rupert Murdoch

Publicity stunt or not it must be shit to be the one who thought she won but really didn't. Like in front of all austraila and the rest of the world. Thank God nobody cares about me and my mistakes so I can keep on making them and be sure noone ever finds out!

Cock Block

I always do things when I'm out or when I get back from a night out that baffle me. The best would be how I always seem to have the presence of mind to fold my clothes after I take them off and actually make my bed before I jump in. It makes waking up in the morining/afternoon alot easier when everythings all neat and arranged in the corner.

Bummer

Do you ever get when you're away for ages and you forget about your life back home? Like how certain things were bringing you down or the routine(s) you had before you left were doing your head in? Or how the weather really tends to mess things up because its oh so shitty? Yeah well I'm back, almost one week, and I cannot WAIT to go back to New York! Even just for the scorching evening temperatures:

Alternative and Affordable

I REALLY DON'T want to go home! But all good things must come to an end, but there's still so much for me to do...in theory that is (my flight is at 10pm tonight so I'm keeping it local until next time). I've had lots of fun, I've met some interesting people, seen a whole other way of living that has me all sorts of excited, travelled out of New York a couple of times, spent way more money than I should have, learnt a lot more about myself and the people around me, been put in awkward situations but made the best of them, learned to appreciate the opportunities I've been given, still haven't decided what I'm going to do when I go back home, still sit and daydream how my life is going to turn out.

I'll paraphrase some guy I heard on the street and say this: "If you don't have friends or money...you're nothing in this town!" And he couldn't be anymore correct. Not having familiar faces really does put you in your place here and teaches you to appreciate those who your close to. If I could have changed one thing it would have been having my best friends with me. Ah well at least I'm home in 24 hours and get to go to WAR on Friday. =

WANT TO GO HOME!

5 days left

I really should go take some pictures and see some things before I go, you know do the real tourist thing. I've probably said that before but I'm so vacillate in my decisions and haven't actually gone anywhere besides shops and even that hasn't been a success! Anyway I'll make make a list and try my best to ACTUALLY go to all these places.

The Bowery Ball Room
St Jerome's Bar
Smith and Wollensky
Radio City Music Hall
The Metropolitan Opera House
The MET
MoMa
The Statue of Liberty
NYU
That bridge that is always used in movies who's name escapes me
The Empire State Building
The Chrysler Building
Times Square at night
Broadway
The Apollo Theatre
Bryant Park
Central Park
The Plaza
Tiffany and Co
FAO Schwarz
That 'LOVE' statue
Magnolia Bakery
Red Steps at Times Square
Grand Central Terminal

I think that's enough for now....if you have any ideas feel free to throw them this way!

You know what scratch that. I'll come back at Christmas and dig my way through all the snow....or better still come back next summer with more people and tear it up

Voyage en Amerique

Driving to Boston got me thinking about a few things. I'm terrible for sticking to something and not trying out other things, in the sense that once I have a formula figured out (and it works) I wont move from that. Looking at all the scenery and seeing just how much of America I saw between Boston and New York gave me an idea for next summer. I think a round trip from east coast(New York) to west coast (California) is in order! It takes roughly 1 day and 21 hours by car so it would make an epic road trip and then you can fly back if you're feeling lazy. I'm just throwing ideas around but knowing my luck this time next year I'll either be in Dublin for the summer or sitting in our apartment in Manhattan.

Also...

Someone buy this watch for me please and thank you

major on the minor and minor on the major

That's the conclusion my sister reached about our dad. Now that's kind of harsh but in reality he does like to nit pick at things he really doesn't need to, or rather he doesn't know how to let petty things slide without making some sort of sarcastic/condescending comment.

Case in point on Sunday, he went off at me for wearing this!

Apparently he doesn't want me to be seen near him ,in public, with such things written on my shirt because it means I'm in support of 'such a philosophy'.

The truth is I got that tshirt free with an issue of Vice, and it was hot as hell in so that was what I wanted to wear. Not because I subscribe to the notion that to lead a successful life you should be stupid....which in some ways if you look at it actually does kinda help but that's for another day. He seems to have a problem with certain things I do and to be honest in this situation I couldn't give a shit because I'm not about to make myself uncomfortable or change how I act to humor someone else. I'd MUCH prefer keepin it real and having a good time-which is also a problem our 'generation' has according to poppa dear. RANT OVER

In other news, my sister got in last Thursday and is being a bit of a dry-shite so far. Extended jet lag could be a reason but knowing my sister she's just lazy as per usual. I'm dying for a night out in some dive bar in the east village but that's wishful thinking, maybe when I'm in Boston this weekend.

I just wish this was Summer '06 =[

Dont stop

Je Suis Desole

God I'm such a slacker when it comes to certain things, especially blogging. I'm hardly battling with a busy schedule, and I'm not working so I really have no excuse for not posting more often! I've 4 more weeks left here so starting Monday I'll make the best of it.

P.S. My sister's here now as well so I've a partner in crime for our adventures around New York...well not really because she's a bit of a dry shite but hey it beats walking around New York by myself

Oh Christopher Bailey...

I've stopped paying attention to what happens at Fashion Week so I was pleasantly surprised when I was in Burberry the other day. The A/W 2010 collection that's in store is serious! Those coats would make any Siberian/Russian happy, and weigh an actual TONNE! But at about €3500-€4500 I'm going to have to wait for Topman to release their take on it and hope it's anything like the real thing. Plus that jumper with the buttoned shoulders has officially gone on my list for Santa this year...I'm starting early so he knows what's up!!

Happy 4th of July

I want to go see the fireworks but that's all the way on the other side of town so I'll just watch it on tv. Oh and i'm kind of thinking about moving here, we'll see how the next 4 weeks go!

Too Legit to Quit

There's no way in hell a person can see ALL of Manhattan in their lifetime, well thats what my Dad and I concluded. But i'm going to give it my best shot. The only problem is once you set off to go somewhere and mistakenly look to your left or right you find a whole new street to explore and before you know it you're in the bronx! Well not really but you have to control yourself.....and have a map handy! It's still too hot here, like it's not even hot but humid and there's nothing worse than a really humind place because you just feel horrible in no time.

I went to the Urban Outfitters across from Bloomingdale's and saw loads of stuff that i'll bring my Dad to get and I got my unlimited Metro card so i'll be out and about tomorrow. James Franco has an exhibition on in the Clocktower on Leonard Street so I'll check that out and maybe I'll be able to find Areaware to get sized for this concrete ring i've been dying to get

I'll burn the house down

In exactly 7 days i'll be heading off to New York for 7 weeks. I still haven't packed and there's a few things I need to get before I go over, plus I really want to go out this Friday and Saturday. I went to my aunts house with my sister after church this morning and we had a good laugh, ate way too much food there though. I hope to God there's a gym near the apartment when I go over so I have something to do and get fit while i'm at it! But yeah we had a chat about my parents and I'm not holding back on my Dad this time when the time comes, because I know it will...it's not a matter of 'IF' with my dad but 'WHEN'!

I finally sat through Inglorious Bastereds on Saturday and I'm not going to lie it was BRILLIANT! I've been watching loads of movies the past few days and there's still loads more to go through. I want to see as many as possible and maybe get a monologue and try out for the Gaiety School of Acting while i'm in New York. Chances are i'll pussy out and waste €50 but its worth a shot!

What a day

Woke up this morning to find out my cousin Roses had died. She'd been sick for the past few days and all our family (mum's side) were there with her, I was expecting her to pull through but unfortunately she didn't. I'm not great with words but like my aunt said 'she's in a better place now and she's resting'. Sleep tight Roses. Sleep tight!

Bleu

Not just a colour but how I'm feeling right now. The 21st seems so far away!

Friday, June 4, 2010

*Insert title*

It's 04:51 am and I'm still awake. I'm not doing anything particularly constructive, and cant sleep, so I thought I'd clean my room. That's now over because I'm not particularly arsed plus I found this diary that I had when I was 14. Its a hilarious read mainly because I sound like a whiny brat for most of it (I'm sure I still sound just as whiny). It's all about me hating the fact I was so sheltered and broke....come to think of it not much has changed in the past 7 years and that CANT be good.

My mum's gone to Nigeria for 7 weeks so its just me and my sister and the difference is clear without our mum. I wont see her until August because I'll be in New York by the time she gets back so we're finally getting that break we always threaten each other with. I just need to fill my days with something to do because its actually doing my head in at this stage.

Aside from all that there's nothing else really happening. Pony Kids was on Wednesday and I didn't go....I think I'll do myself a favor and not get excited about these things because if I try and plan to go it just fails like everything else I try and do. I'll have to change that this summer along with a few other things. Its hilarious how I deceive myself every year ,around this time, by saying I'm going to better myself or make changes to my life but second guess myself/the effects of said changes and then settle back into what I hate. I think this is the last time I'll try it and if I don't go through with it or like the possible outcomes then it just means I'm stuck in my ways and I'll never change.

Who needs change anyway!

Stadeair

I'll get my aunty to hook me up to a machine like this until my exams are over because it seems at this stage it's the only way I'll ACTUALLY study!

In other news, my dad booked my trip to New York!! I'm really looking forward to this trip because I'm going to make sure I go off and see what New York has to offer this time, we'll be smack bang in Manhattan so I've no excuse not to. Plus I'm 21 now so I can go out at night and stuff. I'll bring a camera with me so I can show you what I see/where I go/possibly what I'm wearing (nobody really gives a shit what I wear though so maybe not)...but you get the general idea.

OK I'm going to sleep now because I've had enough of lying to myself with all these books strewn across the bed

Blue-Eyed Soul

My last set of exams start on monday and i'm trying my best to put my head down but I take way too many breaks. Plus I've been really busy this week so my head is all over the shop, which isnt really helpful because when I finally sit down to do something I'm too tired to give a shit! My only consolation is the fact I'm done with college in roughly 2 weeks and have a nice summer to look forward to

"I want a drink. I want fifty drinks. I want a bottle of the purest, strongest, most destructive, most poisonous alcohol on Earth. I want fifty bottles of it. I want crack, dirty and yellow and filled with formaldehyde. I want a pile of powder meth, five hundred hits of acid, a garbage bag filled with mushrooms, a tube of glue bigger than a truck, a pool of gas large enough to drown in. I want something anything whatever however as much as I can"

Blue

Ugh I lost another phone last night. I called it and it was off almost immediately, I just hope to God its not one of those lovely people who come begging outside spy after WAR. My mum made the best suggestion though, she said I should put my sim card in another phone that I dont like so if it gets lost i've no problem...and stop being so careless when I go out. And stop wearing jeans with crappy pockets.

It was a good night though, from what I remember anyway......shocking what difference a bus ride to town with a bottle of vino can do to you!

Saddle Up

This looks REALLY good! Here's hoping I can get a group to head down, not in the mood of walking round the phoneix park on my own at that hour of the night....seeing as people have a tendency to turn up dead around there and all!

Correction this WOULD have been really good. it got cancelled by a concerned member of the public....thanks whoever you are!

Oh mother

Why do you insist on having certain conversations with me RIGHT before my exams! Like is it really neccessary

6 days to go

That's right six days from now i'll be handing up my business plan. I'm sure you're probably sick to your teeth of hearing me go on about it. And to be honest once its over i'll kind of miss knowing I have to do it but still not getting up off my fat ass and actually doing anything about it or to it...if that makes any sense. But its far too late to be worrying about if its a viable plan or not, i'm just going to put some finishing touches to it and then hand it up. I'll have to do a quick plagiarism check on turnitin before I print it out though (the EFFORT in formatting this thing).

I really do hope I wont leave it til the night before because there's NO way i'd be able to do it. Plus i'd like to say that I did something in good time and had time to relax on the day I submit it. On that note i'm two minds about going out this weekend. I think i'll save it til next week and go on a mad one on saturday or something. Oh plus i'm not so sure about New York this summer, I checked for flights and its like €1300 or something compared to €450 back in January. I'm sure my Dad won't actually mind booking it though, guess i'll have to wait and see. I should call him actually, its been a few days!

Word Count: 981

Well its 571 if i'm being completely honest! And that lovely assignment is due at 3pm today and once again i've left it til a few hours before to do it. I was saying it to my mum the other day how I'd learn my lesson and change my ways if I didnt always get 60% or higher doing them this way. I've only ever done 2 assignments ahead of schedule....and those weren't without their problems (one got lost on the computer and the other didnt have a real direction until started typing it, kind of like this one i'm doing now).

ANYWAY, i'm going to try my best to finish this before 9am so I can get at least 2 hours sleep before I hand it in, because I think i'm going to see my friends band in the academy later and then come home and work on my business plan. I got some feedback from my supervisor and he said "it sounds more like a hobby than a business plan!" so I really dont know how to take that at this stage of the game but whatever, i'll do the market analysis, the financial section, the action items and the funding requirements, proof read the bastard and then print it because quite frankly I DONT GIVE A F**K! I made it seem like this insurmountable task but really its just words on a page and a few google searches to find the figures. I'd laugh if I got an A or a B for it though.

My college ball is on the day we submit the plan so if there's still tickets left i'm in there like swimwear! Suffice to say we'll ALL be beyond hammered that night. Speaking of which i'm oh so very tempted to go to Partie Monster this Saturday but thats the same night as Andrea's birthday, Feadz DJ set in the button factory and Liv's birthday...and i've €30 to do me for all three.

I feel naked

Without my phone. I went to the Oak for Grace's birthday and somehow managed to lose my phone. I'm trying to pinpoint when exactly I lost it but considering the fact I dont know how I managed to climb into bed last night, that memory isn't gonna come anytime soon. Every time I called it rang out so its still around somewhere, but its off now. It was such a handy little phone and everything....ah well at least I can get a blackberry now! But I think thats just an indication that i've to stop drinking wine before I go anywhere because it all goes down hill for me when i'm on the vino.

Business Plan is almost done and by almost I mean i've three out of the ten required sections done! I'm getting there...be it ever so slowly! I've another assignment due in on Thursday but it's Niamh's birthday on tuesday so i'm gonna have to get a big chunk of it done today and all day tuesday if I want to go to c.u.n.t!

R.I.P.

I've come to the harsh realisation that alot of the people I grew up watching on tv, and people I grew up with in general, are well into the latter stage of their lives and will one day leave this life. As cryptic as it sounds its true, and I hate that! John Forsythe passed away today at the age of 92. Some of you may know him as Charlie, some of you may know him as Blake Carrington....and for those of you who really know your stuff, you'll know him as Bentley Gregg. However you remember him he will be missed. REST IN PEACE

p.s. its even more upsetting now because they've been showing re-runs of dynasty on CBS drama so it'll be sad watching it on monday

WOW

Luise Rainer is 100 years young today! Keep on keeping my dear.

And the beat goes on

Last night was so much fun. Spy was jammed, we're talking any closer and you'd need lube close. Went in Foran and met up with Jana and Coby who I havent seen in ages, and we all got good and messy. I lost my cloakroom ticket but the guy who does the cloakroom was so sound, remembered who I was and what bag I had and handed it right back to me. I like thses nights in spy, i'm not the go-every-week type of person but when i do decide to go its always a brilliant night.

So after waking up this morning, or being woken up by some person who thought they were Kevin McCloud with an electric saw, with aformentioned bag still on my shoulder, coat, jeans and tshirts from the night before STILL on me, got showered and went back to spy for a photoshoot as part of Nokia Young Fashion Designers Exhibition. They were showing us how photo shoots are done, and it was really informative! I didnt take any pictures though, i'm sure i'll find some floating around though. It was styled by Corina Gaffey and shot by Lili Froberg. They'll probably have the pictures up on facebook but i'll stick them up here when they have them ready so you can have a look.

I'm supposed to be cleaning my room and doing some assignments but i'm heading to the Oak with Leila and Grace instead. Sans vino tonight though, i've to be up early for church tomorrow. I'm going to my aunty's house after so i cant be stinking of gin and wine...surely thats not a good look!

Running on empty

I just printed the cover sheet for my first assignment for this semester. I'm 1600 words over the limit and frankly I dont give a shit! My lecturer will have it read in about 10 mins so what harm will an extra 1600 words do? As hard as I tried it looks as if i'm a night before type of person, which is ok because I dont really sleep that much any so pulling an all nighter, but actually doing something productive seems like a nice trade-off. I've another 2 assignments and that lovely 10,000 word business plan to look forward to for the next 3 or 4 weeks.....don't even think i'm doing the business plan the night before its due in. I know i'm an idiot but that would just be PHYSICALLY impossible!

UNE

I just realised this blog is a YEAR old. Time flys when you're talking bullshit, and boy do I talk some shit. I was looking back at my older posts and it hit I really dont have that much to say. Honestly though, majority of my posts consist of random pointless shit thats happened to me, or decisions on where i'll go out for the weekend. There arent many pictures because I HATE pictures of myself but wont hesitate to look at someone else's...think i'll change that though. Think its time for a change in direction, "variety is the spice of life" (at least that's what they tell you!) So to those of you who visit this blog thank you, i'm not sure if I can pay back all the time you wasted reading what i've been saying all this time but it's much appreciated and here's to another year!

Monday, March 15, 2010

And there goes 3 hours of sleep...

As i sit here typing this its 02:40am 15-03-2010. The French Lieutenants Woman is on tv, but its on for background noise(you know the one i'm talking about, that sound that lets you know its on even when you're not paying attention). Anyway, the tv is on but i'm not watching it. My laptop's on and i'm trying to convince myself that watching Sade videos, looking at digital issues of V and VMAN, and looking at how much flights to New York are will some how inspire me to finish my Business Plan!

I've said it before so I wont bother saying it again but i'm actually fed up at this stage. Every single time I switch this laptop on to do it i end up doing something COMPLETELY unrelated and that pisses me off. I told myself I wouldn't let this be one of those last minute assignments because its the most important this year but alas it looks like it is. I still have about a month to really get my finger out and knock this out of the ball park, but then there's another 3 assignments to do with a combined word count of like 10,000 words yet all i can think about is what i'm doing for Paddy's Day.

Or whether i'll be going to WAR on friday.

Or what theme the next Partie Monster will be.

Or whether i'll get my business plan developed in time for the presentation.

Or if anyone will actually help me with developing the fecking thing.

Or if i'm doing a masters come October, or if i'll have to do some shitty little course so i get a stamp to say I can stay somewhere I practically grew up in,

Or some other random thought like that.

You see every single time i see that white light with the blue one beside it telling me i'm connected to the internet i'm a million miles away from what i'm supposed to be doing, a million miles away from what lies ahead of me. A million miles away from the €17,000 that has been spent on college so far. A million miles away of what i'll do once i have that silly little piece of paper that says i'm Bachelor of the Arts. And to be honest I like going on those little adventures. I think we all need those moments during the day to clear our heads or at least get the fuck away from the shit we know we have to do but really couldnt be arsed doing

I think i'll go to bed now...i've to be up for like 7am or some ungodly hour like that

=[

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

Well there's 24 hours of my life I wont get back!

And now I can stop with all the movie award predictions, well until Cannes anyway. I was happy overall with the results, well in an ideal world Avatar would have walked away with 0 oscars and i'd be €510 richer...but you cant have it all now can you. I was delighted for Kathryn Bigelow and Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock was good in The Blind Side but that should have been a tie between her Carey, Meryl and Gabourey! Congratulations to everyone else who won and to Zoe Saldana who made me fall in love with her even more

I didnt bother going to college today because I was way too tired after staying up watching the Oscars. I also tried my best to do something with this business plan but depsite my best efforts i'm still stuck with what I had 2 days ago and now the course coordinator is telling me i've missed out on all the journals and i could lose 13% (on a double weighted module) which is news to me because i've sent him every last journal I was supposed to. Yes they didn't have any work included in them but I said that and I explained why they had no work in them. So he can hardly say i'm lying can he?

I really cant wait for this to all be over and hang my degree on my wall to use a dart board or something. The sun has been out the past few days so I guess this means we're in for a warm summer, and as per usual I might not be here for it. For once i'm excited about going to New York but I dont want to go for too long or too little and feel I missed out on an opportunity. Then again I don't want to be stuck in Dublin for 4 months with nothing to do now do I. Decisions people, D.E.C.I.S.I.O.N.S!!!

And the Oscar goes to

Tonight's the night. All that promoting, all those premieres, all those great performances during the past year, all those fittings, all those speeches, come down to this. The 82nd Academy Awards are on tonight and to say the competition is fierce is an understatement. There so many long over due nominations, some new faces, some sad, some funny, some absolutely faultless and the mother of all battles between the exes- Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron. I've vested interest in tonight's results but I also want to see how many can I get right.

I need a pick me up

Or i need to start going to bed earlier and sort out my time management. This business plan is so much harder than i first thought, even though i've known how hard it would be all along, i think the realisation of what's ahead of me is really starting to come down on me. Plus I really need to start sleeping and eating properly, and get some fooking excercise! My friend said March and April would be the worst months of my life and i'm starting to see the wisdom in his comment!

In other news, i dropped a CV into counter propeganda in stephens green and the guy in the shop was like 'we already have 300 CV's but good luck anyway' so I guess I shouldn't plan anything that involves money around that until I hear from them. It's my friend Lola's birthday on saturday and so is PARTIE MONSTER so that's going to be a messy night, just hope I recover enough to watch the oscars on sunday night. Plus I found out my college ball is on the same night as the Trinity Ball which sucks major donkey balls because Uffie, Digitalism, Mr Hudson, The Mystery Jets and Mr Hudson are all playing. Maybe I can clone myself and teach the clone three phrases, like Sabrina did that time, before then and get the clone to take a handycam and film everything that he did at the ball. Yeah that could work.....

I think its bed time now

Oooh baby its a sad world we're living in

Its a sad state of affairs when you cant sleep and the only thing to watch is Animal Hospital on bbc3. Its even worse when you find yourself crying at the site of a fox being put to sleep. I'm up for college at half 8 and its quarter to 5 and i'm awake, I fell asleep but woke up suddenly for some reason. Its been happening a lot these days and i'm scared because i'm usually a good sleeper. Maybe i'm excited about getting my laptop today, but that cant be it...i'm not 12 like. Uggggggggggggh i'm a mess

Shit Buzz

I cant sleep and i'm up in 4 hours, well 5 really. My minds racing at a million miles a minute and i'm not liking it. There's too many things i've to sort out but i'm hardly going to get them done at this time. I wish there were more hours in the day. I wish I had a sidekick I could depend on 24/7. I wish I had my own apartment. I wish I was in one of those rap videos.....i'm turning into Precious :-p

But yeah i'm wishing for a lot of things. Lets hope they come true

Robot Oeuf

I dont know whats going on but i'm listening to Uffie again loads all of a sudden. She's like a cross between lil kim and some innocent white pop star...she'd be great craic for c.u.n.t. This has to be one of my favourites, its from the Broken Embraces soundtrack (go see it if you havent!)

The first 8 seconds are delish! And for those of you who are hip to the Uffie tip

I got my results

I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED !

Quatre

I'm always going on about how shit my social life is and how nobody ever goes out on week long benders etc and how i'd love to to the week long session thing. But i've just realised I probably wouldnt have the stamina/energy for it, because I went out last night and i'm supposed to be going out tonight but i'm actually not arsed! I'm saying that now but i'll be running for the last bus at half eleven.

Last night was so funny though. We went out for scott's girlfriends birthday and by the time we got to town every last one of us was in bits. Me and Rachel were like "how come the older we get the less it takes for us to get hammered?". Think about it though, when you were 16 you could easily go through a crate of miller and a shoulder of vodka and think nothing of it. But now you can't get past the neck of a wine bottle without feeling light headed....or maybe thats just me. Anyway I dont remember much from 21 because I was there for all of 15mins and then legged it to spy, bumped into James on my way there and went in with him. Dont remember paying in, or maybe i did becasue that would explain the whereabouts of my €20, or maybe we blagged our way in...I really cant say. Think i'll videotape my nights out and watch them back in amusement or just sit there cringing at how drunk I am. But yeah it was a good night.

On a side note i'm kinda waaaaay behind on my college work and if I dont get the finger out soon i'm screwed. And the results are out next week....I really hope I passed them all because i'm going to New York for summer and I really dont want to cut it short to do smelly repeats!

P.S. Can I just say i'm so pissed at Avatar winning Best Director at the Globes because that sets the trend for the Oscars and I think Kathryn Bigelow desevres Best Director!

p.p.s. I'm being greedy and if my first choice doesnt win then if there's a runner up then i was right

:P

13/25

I kind of knew Chloe Sevingy and Julianna Margulies would win though. Avatar was a shock and i'm pissed off because he'll go off and repeat what he did in 1997 with the Titanic at the Oscars. But it would be so good if The Hurt Locker beats Avatar. Not that it wasnt a good movie but dont be greedy James!
